The experience of "Little scientists in school"

Institutes and schools involved in the Project “Little scientists in Lab”

School Year: 2016/2017

Since 2011, the project “Little scientists in Lab” has involved 12 Municipal nursery schools in Modena and 10 kindergartens belonging to the Foundation “Cresci@mo”: the training path consists in 12 hours of training course addresses teachers focusing on knowledge and experience of the world.
Subsequently 2014, this training project was extend to include 18 municipal nursery schools in Modena and, additionally, in 2016/2017 this training project is involving all the affiliated and private nursery services in the city of Modena.

This year the Project involved with in-service teachers’ training courses about 300 teachers of State Educational Institutes in the area of Modena, Reggio Emilia and in the Appennino Tosco-Emiliano area (Lunigiana, Garfagnana…).

Additionally the project offers Scientific Learning Paths, connected to teachers training courses, including Scientific Labs into classes leaded by experts, from Kindergarten to Middle school. Future primary school teachers of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia contribute to the Labs as apprentices. These are some of the involved school: Istituto Comprensivo 2 di Modena, Direzione Didattica 2 di Formigine (Mo), Istituto Comprensivo di Castelnuovo Rangone (Mo), Istituto comprensivo di Cavezzo, Scuola primaria Cantona di Correggio (Re).
